We knew brand accuracy mattered. A global brand with global recognition, aligning to the GAP brand guidelines was essential. Being at the forefront of innovation meant the guidelines kept evolving as we went, so we worked closely with GAP's design team to land an aesthetic that met the goals of the local market and stayed relevant to the US.
Before any development began, we ran design workshops, prototyping and a functional review to settle apps and Shopify limits early. Then we built the store: the homepage, mega nav, search, collection and department pages, product pages, gift cards, a slide-out cart, campaign landing pages and customer service pages, with GA4 and Meta tracking in place. AI enhanced data migration, quality testing and client UAT came next, and we trained the core team before go-live.

GAP Australia went live on 19 August 2026 at gapaustralia.com. Gap’s Australian customers now have a local store built on Shopify, priced in AUD and aligned to the US brand. The Fashionata team trained with us before launch and now run the store day to day.
“GAP is a key brand that needed to move quickly for its Australian launch, while upholding the highest standards of brand alignment and functionality expected from a reputable US brand. The MILQ team went above and beyond in a fast-changing environment, adjusting to changing needs from the client, GAP’s international team and their suppliers. The result is an amazing, brand-aligned project delivered on time and on budget, with real impact for the local custodians of the brand.”
Next projects.
